I left my heart in San Francisco

Hey guys! If you have been following along on my Instagram & Snapchat you know I just returned from the BEST trip ever! I spent the last week with my best friend, Laura, in the always beautiful San Francisco.

I decided to make a special post on some of my favorite places to see and eat while in the city.

Pack your bags! We're headed out west!

This is the Ferry Building at on The Embarcadero. The Embarcadero is a long street on the bay where all the piers are located. The Ferry Building hosts so many cool shops and restaurants. It's your go-to place to grab lunch or hit some local specialty shops.

Just outside of the Ferry Building are cable cars. Hop on Line F to head to Market Street to shop! (We did too much of that... oops!) Or stay on to visit the vibrant Castro!

I love how San Fran has continued to utilize the cable cars and trollies. It keeps the tradition of this magical city alive. Even if your not a fan of public transport, I really think it's an absolute must-do while in the city!

The Embarcadero also has the best views of the Bay Bridge, and at the end is Pier 39. It houses loads of shops, cafes and restaurants. Not to forget--a gorgeous view of the bay!

Ok, what would be a trip to Cali without a stop at In-n-Out?? You just have to cut the diet for the day and make an event out of it. I'm also a huge fan of Gott's Roadside. I personally think they have the best burgers. This adorable one is located in the Ferry Building!

Laura's friend, George, took us to all the best view spots. This photo was taken at Twin Peaks **cue 1990s TV show theme music** This has an amazing view of the entire city. I love all the hills against the backdrop of the skyscrapers and the bay. You can also see both the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge from here!

{Now cue Full House theme song}
Ahhhh, the Golden Gate Bridge. Laura and I walked across, and let me tell you... that 1.7 miles across never seemed so short! It was definitely worth it!
And the view from above is incredibly breathtaking. Take a day and see it for sure!

This trip was so needed. Laura and I have been best friends for 7 years. Since her moving back to France after high school we only get to see each other 2 times a year. I'm so thankful for our visits, but they always go by much too quickly. I don't think we ever stop laughing while we are together. She's probably more of an American than I am!

Other great places to go while in the city:
1. Lemonade--my FAVORITE Cali restaurant. It's kind of like a healthy cafeteria. You pick out what you want. They have loads of healthy options and serve the most delicious lemonade with several varieties.
2. Dolores Mission Park. If you want to see a gorgeous park then this is the place. You have the gorgeous views of the city.
3. Alamo Park. This is were the Painted Lady houses are located (aka the Full House house).
4. Union Square. For all your shopping needs! It's such a fun place to be and you can catch the trolly from here!
5. Lombarde Street. It's the steepest street in America. You have to see it to believe! Cars line up to drive down!

Ok, now it's your turn! Pack your bags and head to San Fran! I can't wait to hear about your trip!! xx
