Bow & Ruffle Top + Preparing to Move

Blue TOP w/ adjustable bow & ruffle sleeves (ONLY $69), Nearly Identical Top HERE on Chicwish ($47), SIMILAR top by Topshop ($68), SIMILAR top via Chicwish ($44), JEANS--my fav pair by AG, SIMILAR white denim by AG, VALENTINO Rockstuds.

So, this top is to die for! You know I'm a fan of ruffles... and I'm sure you are, too. This top is all the season's best trends rolled into one perfect piece. This blue is everywhere, and the blue section of my closet is completely dominated by it! I can't seem to get enough. (Playing into this year's Pantone color of the year for sure).

It has perfect ruffled sleeves with the shoulders cut out and an adjustable bow you can tie however you like best. Whether you want to wear it like me with the ends hanging long or if you want to wrap it around you waist another time to make a shorter bow, it's the perfect look!
I also linked a very similar top for a little less by Chicwish above and to the widget below. As well as a few other similar and adorable pieces!

Paired with my favorite white jeans. I wear these multiple days in a row. They are a little pricey, but I always think it's not a bad idea to spend a little extra on that perfect pari of denim.

Well, I'm back in good ole Arkansas, but not for too much longer. The next couple of weeks are jammed packed (and I mean that quite literally) with lots of events, traveling, packing, organizing, selling & moving. It's getting down to crunch time for my big cross-country, NYC move, and as the days pass I grow more and more excited yet nervous about the unknown.

Since I was young, I have dreamed about living in New York City. I love the busyness. I love the noise. I love the fashion. I love the smells. I love the food. I love the shopping. I love the parks. I love the museums. I love so much more, but most of all, I love the opportunities and potential connections all made possible from what the city has to offer.

There are a lot of unknowns about my move, but I am confident I will be fine. So many times it's easy to give up on our dreams because we focus on the "what ifs" in life. Being vulnerable is scary and often it involves taking a big risk. But the best part of vulnerability is the possibility of success in something you otherwise could have never achieved. Sure, moving 1,382 miles away from home with no plans to move back is scary. Sure, going back to school (especially a new school) can be terrifying, but if I don't go for it I know I'll spend the rest of my life wondering what could have been if I had.

Don't let those silly doubts hold you back from doing what or being whom you want to be. My whole life my dad has been one of my biggest encouragers. He has always made me feel like I have the ability to do anything I could imagine, and I've been blessed enough to have his support through some of my crazy ideas. I honestly think it was his faith in me that made me capable to do more than I would've on my own. I hope you have someone like my dad in your life. Someone to cheer you on even when you don't think success is possible. If you don't, then let me be that person for you. Go out there and DO IT. Be brave enough to chase your dreams and be vulnerable. I promise, even if you fail, you won't regret it.

Getting off the soap box. Have a lovely weekend, friends! xx
