LBD for the Win

Happy Friday! I have the perfect LBD for your next GNO or date night! I've linked several similar and affordable LBDs above and to the widget below, too!

This dress is so much fun and has bands at the bottom that give it a little extra spring. I can't help but do a few twirls when wearing it!

I am obsessed with my Bellami hair extensions. It's crazy how well they blend with my color. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a set!

I have on my favorite Louboutins. It's crazy how rough I have been on these shoes. (Especially walking in grass and gravel--not a good idea FYI). I just got the heels redone and it's a world of difference. I love these shoes SO much. I have linked two styles and a really similar style to this post, too!

For the last couple weeks I have been really overwhelmed with my impending move to NYC. Recently, a lot has come up in my personal life leading up to this event, and sometimes I find myself feeling like things are out of control. I know there's so much I need to get taken care of before leaving, and when left with my thoughts the anxiety can easily build. We all feel this way at different times in our lives. Like there's nothing we can do to stop or slow down the inevitable train of events headed our way.

Several times, I've had to make myself stop and really put things in perspective. It's so easy to get caught up in the here and now and to even feel like we are dealing with more than most. Every upcoming challenge is a new adventure--a new way to grow and develop ourselves into a better person. Challenges allow us to recognize our strengths and weaknesses and to make those weaknesses into new challenges to overcome.

Helpful tips to overcome stress:

1.) Make a list. Since childhood I have loved to write. I have probably hundreds of unfinished journals. Write down your thoughts. Make a list of the things you need to get done in order of importance.

2). Talk to someone. Sometimes getting things out is the best way to destress. I have a few close friends that I often let everything out to. They are safe and encouraging friends. They listen and offer advice when needed.

3.) PRAY. Undoubtedly the most important step. I don't know if you're religious or not, but personally, prayer has been the most helpful part of distressing in my life. It's amazing how much better I feel knowing my requests are in the hands of my Maker.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. xx
