Suede Dress, Wool Sweater, Leopard Beanie & A Little Pre-Election Encouragement

Welcome back, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend!(:

This last weekend I participated in a parade for work. Sad to say, it was probably the least populated parade I've ever been to. Since starting this job I have walked in about 7 parades over the last 5 months. **You can call me the parade queen! haha!

Today's outfit is this precious burgundy-ish, suede dress, grey, wool sweater and leopard beanie with a Burberry scarf! The perfect outfit for mid-October weather!

This sweater is so cozy! I love how casual and warm it is! It would be a perfect pair for some jeans and a cute t-shirt!

I've had this beanie for years, and it has served me SO well! I am a big fan of leopard print! I think it's really something that can go with so many different styles and pattens!
Get a similar leopard beanie HERE!<3

I think this week I am going to try to find some time to sneak off to some haunted houses! I absolutely love Halloween! I still don't know what my costume should be--all recommendations are welcome and appreciated!

Ok guys, election day is really just around the corner. I know it's taboo to talk politics, but this isn't the speech you may expect. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for or list the pros and cons of each candidate because I know most of you already know. But I am going to encourage each of you to step out and cast a vote. This election is extremely important for the future and direction of our country. This is an opportunity for your individual voice to be heard, and a chance for you to take place in something historic.

I know most of you are discouraged by our choices in candidates... trust me, I am at the top of that list. Let's just remember that someone else is in control, and we have to trust in Him to see it through. Let's remember that we have brothers and sisters who share different opinions than us, and just because we don't see eye-to-eye with everyone around us, does not justify treating people with less respect or bashing them because of their different stance on a situation. Let's remember to respect each other's opinions and try to understand we all see things through our own individual perspectives.

Let's remember to be thankful we live in a country that allows us to vote for a leader, let's be thankful we live in a country that values freedom of speech and allows us to express our personal opinions, and let's be thankful we live in a country that encourages people from all walks of life to work together to make us the best we can possibly be.

Ok, that's all the rant I have in me for today! I hope everyone's Monday is lovely! <3

  1. I love this outfit! This hat is gorgeous!

  2. Great colour combination of the wool dress! Its balance your look with the sweater scarf and pair of boots. And it seems relaxed with a slouchy shoulder bag too.
