Ruffled Blue Dress + The Prettiest Pink Wall

While in LA, we just had to make a stop at the pink Paul Smith wall. I love how it just makes the outfit pop! Today's post is on this adorable and affordable blue & white striped, ruffled dress. (That's a mouthful!)

Obsessed over this Chloé "Drew" bag Emily let me borrow. It is one of my all-time favorite styles. Perfect for dressing up or down.

While in LA, I made a rather big purchase... Probably a bit bigger than needed, but I have been dying for these nude Valentino pumps for ages. I have linked several similar styles below that give the same look!

You can never have too many pairs on nude heels. They will get a lot of use and go a long way!

This top is sleeveless on one side and short-sleeved on the other. Such a cute and different look!

I wish this wall could follow us wherever we go! A trip to LA wouldn't be near as fun without my girl! I am so thankful for all our many adventures together and those yet to come! <3

We ate at Lemonade twice over the weekend, of course. No In-N-Out this time though (at least trying to be healthy on my weekend between Whole30s).

Yesterday I did something very stupid--I side-swiped a man's parked car. I had a few minutes to kill before work, so like most mornings, I decided to stop by Mylo for a tea. I was going to parallel park, but saw a spot in front of me and decided to just pull forward instead; hitting the driver tip of his car on the way. I felt so awful. I like to think I am a self-proclaimed "good driver" (maybe a little fast but good). Now I question everything.

The man was so incredibly kind and understanding. I am so thankful for people who are slow to anger. He didn't seem mad at all, reminded me that we all make mistakes & accidents and patiently helped me through making all the right calls and actions.

He was a good example to me through how he treated me and handled the situation. We all mess up. I know I do every single day. We deal with people who unintentionally do things that go against what we think should happen, but we need to remember that everyone is human. Everyone is trying to do the best with what we have. Sure, we deal with the consequences (like two damaged cars and insurance payments), but that's all part of our life lesson.

Let's all remember to treat one another with love and respect even when they wrong us. Let's be slow to anger and quick to listen. Let's be understanding of everyone's individual walk. You never know how your reaction can effect someone else, or how you deal with something can be an opportunity encourage a stranger.

That's all the life advice I have for today. Happy Wednesday, friends! xx

  1. Amen, Amen, Amen! That's my girl right there! So proud of your insight on things. You really are the poster child for treating people with love and respect. I learn a lot from being your best friend! :)

  2. I love this wall and this dress! I'm sorry about your accident they are never fun, but it makes things so much easier for everyone when everyone is nice. At least everyone is okay that is all that matters!

  3. Great info! I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have.
